While making inter-org transfer in oracle inventory, the following error occured:
“FOB (Free on Board) Point is Not Defined for the Organization”
This issue commonly occurs when the Transfer Type is set to Intransit, but no value is defined for the FOB field in Shipping Networks.
Cause
In Oracle EBS, when the Transfer Type is configured as Intransit, the system requires a valid FOB (Free on Board) value.
If the FOB field is left blank, Oracle throws the above error during setup or transaction processing.
Solution
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
Responsibility: Inventory
1. Open the Shipping Networks form.
Navigation: Setup > Organization > Shipping Networks
2. Query the organization record.
3. Check the Transfer Type value.
4. If the Transfer Type is Intransit, enter an appropriate value in the FOB field.
5. Save the changes.
Once the FOB value is entered and saved, the issue should be resolved successfully.
